Stockholm is the next city to host the Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference on Sept. 7. Not only will the spotlight be on Stockholm for the latest news and innovations in the crypto currency markets, but all eyes will also be on the event as this will be the first blockchain conference in the city.
Organized by the event management company Smile-Expo, Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Stockholm 2017 features a wide range of interesting topics about the blockchain technology. Among the topics to be discussed in the one-day event is about initial coin offerings (ICO). Here are some of the discussions and topics attendees can expect from Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Stockholm.
ICO strategies and in-depth analysis
ICO is a fundraising vehicle that a startup company uses and is sometimes used to launch Bitcoin casinos. In exchange for Bitcoin or other altcoin contributions, investors get future crypto currencies. ICO is a new type of IPO. Unlike IPOs though, ICOs are not regulated. This allows startups to bypass regulation processes set by venture capitalists as well as banks. Its growing popularity has led to the US looking for a way to regulate its ICOs.
Daniel Zakrisson, who has a background in starting his ICO, will talk about his experience in the Blockchain conference. Julian Hosp, co-founder of TenX, will talk about five main characteristics a good ICO must have. Julian is also offering some common advice when it comes to issuing the tokens. Oleg Kudrenko, on the other hand, will provide an analysis and prospect of an ICO.
Blockchain tech discussion
Blockchain is the technology behind Bitcoin and people are finding other ways to apply the tech. Karoline Marzantowicz, lead engineer of IBM Polish division, applied the Blockchain tech to the power industry. She will show how to cut the costs of the power market via decentralization through the use of Energetics.
There will also be a presentation on ideas in utilizing blockchain. The presentation is called ‘Startup Incubation with Blockchain Communities’ with its speaker Gabriel Dusil. Dusil will talk about the challenges of creating an environment that allows for a successful blockchain-based project. The presentation will show the possibilities of blockchain tech being implemented in healthcare, Information Communication Technology, eGovernment, Fintech, and more.
Moreover, Martin Mischke will have a presentation called ‘Real world business opportunities with blockchain’. The presentation shows how companies can make full use of blockchain tech. Mischke will discuss the challenges businesses have had in the past such as changing one currency to the other and buying assets globally. He will show how blockchain and crypto currency offer a solution to these challenges.
Cryptocurrency adoption presentation
Mathias Sundin, a blockchain and crypto currency lobbyist in the Swedish Parliament, will be one of the keynote speakers of the Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference. Sundin made a name for himself for being the first politician to be backed solely by Bitcoin donations during his political campaign. He will offer his view on how society is adopting cryptocurrency.
Joining Sundin is Franch Shuil, CEO of Safello. Shuil will give a detailed presentation of the different stages of the adaptation of cryptocurrency. He will also talk about the opportunities provided by cryptocurrency in 2017.
