Marketing Director George Thomas Talks about GoBetGo’s Success and Plans
The Bitcoin gambling sector seems to be constantly expanding as more Bitcoin casinos and sportsbooks are launched. I had the chance to talk with its marketing director, George Thomas, who has a decade of experience in online gambling and is now wishing to conquer the Bitcoin casino market.
Thank you for this opportunity, George. You’re part of the team that runs GoBetGo; how did you first get interested in cryptocurrencies?
We gained interest in cryptocurrencies in February 2013, in the dawn of the first “bitcoin rush”. We thought it holds much potential and we should act to incorporate it within our gaming site, so we worked on GoBetGo for over a year.
And that inspired or gave you the idea of creating GoBetGo?
GoBetGo was inspired by the need for a clean, user-friendly, and reliable bookmaker that doesn’t limit players and offers the best odds on the market. We have over 15 years of experience in the online gambling market, operating various brands, so it was natural for us to launch another one.

How about payment options? Are there plans to support altcoins like Dogecoin and Litecoin in the future?
We do offer play with real money, and we accept various payment methods aside from Bitcoin. For the time being, we will not be supporting them; however, later this year we may introduce Litecoin. It is still in discussions.
In your opinion, what does Bitcoin need for it to be a popular and reliable payment method?
It needs more people to start using it. That’s the only path to success.
Since you mentioned success, what have been the greatest accomplishments or the best times you have had while operating GoBetGo, and how is your brand received by the players?
The World Cup was really good for us. It was full of thrill and excitement, and a lot of bets. As to our players, everyone is happy, very happy. We haven’t had incidents where players seemed dissatisfied with the games we offer.

To prepare for a fight. This is a highly competitive market and it is not easy at all to achieve something in it.

More events, better service, and even better odds. We are planning to become a very large and professional sportsbook that caters to professional and recreational players alike. We will keep offering the best odds on the market.
All right; since your platform also functions within the Bitcoin ecosystem, what can you say about the gambling laws, as well as the legality and regulation of cryptocurrencies?
For the time being, it is a grey area. However, we think it will be legalized in many countries around the world within the next 2-3 years.
How about for the Bitcoin value? Any prediction for its price?
I predict a price over $1,000 by the end of 2014.
