While analysts alike expect an extremely one-sided match this December 22 at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, fans are still looking forward to the clash between two soccer giants.
Here are questions surrounding each soccer team remaining at the Club World Cup Final.
First Real Madrid Title Post-Ronaldo?
— Real Madrid C.F. ???? (@realmadriden) December 19, 2018
Real Madrid had the chance to prove that they did not decline after the departure of five-time Golden Ball recipient Cristiano Ronaldo to Italy.
They threw that chance, losing 4-2 at extra time to cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid for the 2018 UEFA Super Cup. Couple that defeat with Los Blancos’ poor start to the league, standing at fourth with almost half of the season played.
However, with almost every analyst backing them to lift the trophy later at Abu Dhabi—especially after an astounding 3-1 victory against Asian champions Kashima Antlers—a win at the Final could bring back Real Madrid to their winning ways.

— Al Ain FC – EN (@alainfcae_en) December 18, 2018
South America—and the world—is currently in a state of shock as Al Ain beat out Argentina’s River Plate on penalties, beyond the expectations of everyone but the delighted Abu Dhabi crowd.
However, can they do it twice in a row against Real Madrid, two-time World champions in the same number of years?
However, as River Plate learned earlier, even the underdogs can overcome the longest of odds. Can Al Ain do it once more, though?
