3 Exciting Odds in Store for The Match: Tiger vs. Phil Golf Showdown
The match golf fans have been waiting for is finally coming, but possibly years too late.
Both already at the twilight of their legendary careers, golfing rivals Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will go head to head at the Shadow Creek in Las Vegas on November 23 for The Match: Tiger vs. Phil, a winner-takes-all showmatch with at least US$9 million at stake.
Apart from 18 holes full of hopefully stunning golf from the almost-senior players, fans can expect banter as the two—and their faithful caddies—will be strapped up for entertainment and learning purposes.
To keep the match as competitive as possible, both can make impromptu side bets, which will be donated to a charity.
Bettors at home can also join in on the fun and place wagers on several odds offered by several sportsbooks for The Match: Tiger vs. Phil. Some of the most interesting ones are as follows:
1| Side Bets Winners

Phil and Tiger have already decided on the first side bet of the match—US$200,000 to Mickelson if he shoots a birdie at the first hole. Online bookie Paddy Power also offers odds on who between the two golfers will make the most money on side bets alone. Both are priced by Paddy Power at 5/6.
2| Shot Specials
Sky Bet has several odds on the Specials market for bettors who believe the impossible can happen at Shadow Creek. Woods to hit an eagle anytime is priced at 4/1, while any Mickelson eagle is at 5/1. A hole in one scored by any of the golfers is priced at 50/1, while an albatross is at 100/1.
3| Tournament Winner

While both came from terrible Ryder Cup performances, World number 13 Woods is favored by sportsbooks to win this one-off tournament. William Hill priced a Woods victory at 4/9, while a Mickelson triumph is at 7/4.
Avid fans of golf, and even those who are curious about the sport, can catch The Match: Tiger vs. Phil on November 23 via pay-per-view.
