Changes are supposedly for the better, but the upcoming changes with Slotum Partner's commission scheme don't sit well with casino affiliates. Here's why.
A few hours before Christmas day, affiliates received an email from Slotum Partners, advising everyone of its upcoming changes.
According to Slotum Partners, the affiliates’ commission would follow the revised reward calculation, which adjusts the corresponding casino affiliate program requirements for each of the five revenue share commissions.
New vs Old Slotum Partners Commission Structure
Beginning next year, affiliates would be able to increase their revenue share for the month by coming up with a lower total deposit amount requirement. Slotum Partners adjusted this requirement, allowing affiliates to get 45% rev share with a total deposit amount of at least 20,000 EUR.
Included in the changes, however, is the significant adjustment in regard to first time deposits (FTD). At the time of writing and before the implementation of the new changes, affiliates can earn 30% rev share for the month when they bring in six to 14 new first-time depositors, whether fiat-money or Bitcoin casino players, to the casino. But with the new scheme, affiliates would need to have 31 to 50 FTDs to qualify for the same 30% rev share.
Moreover, Slotum Partners announced in the said email that the no negative carryover policy is now conditional, saying:
“At the moment we have a large number of small affiliates that bring us several FTD’s. Providing them No Negative Carryover negatively affects the performance of our casino. In this regard, No Negative Carryover will only be available to partners with 5 or more active players in each month.”
Failure to have at least five active players in the month automatically disqualifies affiliates from benefiting from Slotum Partners’ no negative carryover policy.
Casino affiliates argue that the three upcoming changes are one-sided and would benefit only the casino. As a result, some affiliates have expressed their intentions to stop promoting Slotum Casino in the wake of the changes in its commission structure and no negative carryover policy.
