The highly anticipated ASEAN Gaming Summit 2020 to be held in the Philippines has been postponed to a later date due to the potential health risks and travel restrictions brought about by the recent COVID-19 outbreak.
Event organizer Asia Gaming Brief announced that the Summit will no longer push through this coming 17-19 March 2020 at Shangri-La At-The-Fort, Manila because of the coronavirus outbreak. Instead, it will take place on 28-30 July 2020 in the same venue.
According to Asia Gaming Brief and ASEAN Gaming Summit Managing Directors Rosalind Wade & Luis Pereira:
“We believe that this decision will give sufficient time for travel restrictions to be lifted across Asia, and for the general health concerns to be alleviated.”
Despite the reschedule, Asia Gaming Brief assures the industry, however, that ASEAN Gaming Summit 2020 will remain as the perfect venue to find “the best conference content, leading speakers, networking opportunities and good old fashioned fun.”
Last year, the very successful 2019 ASEAN conference gave plenty of opportunities for delegates to form new business contacts and partnerships. And one of its most interesting panels was covering the Future of Blockchain in Gambling Space.
The team encourages the community to visit the event’s official website to be among the first to be updated of the latest news and developments.
ASEAN Gaming Summit, which has been providing high-quality content, exhibits, and opportunities since 2017, is headlined by Aristocrat, Betradar, Continent8, and SG Gaming, among other sponsors this year.
Gambling operators are focusing a lot of efforts on Asian markets because of its growth potential. Asia has the biggest gambling market compared with other jurisdictions due to the fact that 60 percent of the world’s population are Asians. Tech-savvy Asians are also shaping the industry. They help operators innovate their offerings in order to keep up with the mounting demand.
Rosalind Wade, co-founder of Asian Gaming Brief, pointed out in an interview last year that the biggest issue for the Asian gambling market is still the payment system. Unlike in North American and European gaming markets, Wade pointed out most Asian gaming markets don’t have the payments system option. This is why blockchain and crypto are technologies to exploit further for the online casino markets.
BestBitcoinCasino.com highly values Asia Gaming Brief’s decision to postpone ASEAN Gaming Summit 2020 in light of the coronavirus outbreak. We laud and support their commitment to ensure the safety of the attendees, speakers, and delegates. We thereby strongly encourage the community to make the best decision of attending this year’s edition of one of the most relevant gaming summits in the region.
