Cloudbet Offers Max Bets of 100 BTC for World Cup
The sky is the limit for sports bettors in this year’s World Cup.
Bitcoin sportsbook Cloudbet has announced its astoundingly high betting limits for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Punters can wager as much as 20 BTC or 140 BCH on all World Cup group stage matches and knockout matches. Cloudbet’s betting limit will then skyrocket to 100 BTC or 700 BCH for the World Cup Final on July 15.
Cloudbet claims to provide exceptional odds and unmatched Bitcoin betting limits for sports matches. The sportsbook maintains its assertion that the limits it offers are levels above what other crypto-related and fiat bookmakers have.
According to Cloudbet, it is expecting a surge of demand for betting transactions using the cryptocurrency. The speed and anonymity Bitcoin offers, thanks to its decentralized network, attract sports punters from anywhere in the world. Crypto analysts have hinted before the possibility of tourists using cryptos in Russia due to US’ financial sanctions imposed on Moscow.
Mirio Mella, Cloubet’s head of acquisition, said:
“Bitcoin betting is really coming of age at the 2018 World Cup, so we wanted to do something special. Limits of 100 BTC or 700 BCH seemed like a sexy number for the final, while 20 BTC or 140 BCH for the group and knockout phase is hardly chicken feed. This could be the first World Cup in history where the highest betting limits are only available to those with Bitcoin.”
A pseudonymous developer called Satoshi Nakamoto gave birth to the Bitcoin blueprint back in 2009. Satoshi envisioned Bitcoin to become a new form of currency involving peer-to-peer electronic transactions. Mella believes that the World Cup is this year’s biggest stage to display the capabilities of Bitcoin to the world of sports betting.
A Bitcoin Football Festival
Cloudbet hopes to start a Bitcoin betting revolution to overtake fiat sportsbooks starting with the 2018 World Cup.
New bettors can enter the Bitcoin betting market with a free bet at hand. Punters signing up after June 6 will receive one risk-free bet for the whole duration of the World Cup. Punters must make a deposit and place their first bet—a minimum of 0.001 BTC or its BCH equivalent—on Cloudbet’s match winner market, Asian handicap market, or total goals market within seven days after signing up. If the first bet lost, Cloudbet will refund the stake up to 0.0065 BTC. Bettors must then fulfill the 3x rollover requirement before withdrawing the risk-free bet refund.
Meanwhile, seasoned Bitcoin punters can also win rewards with Cloudbet’s Russian Roulette. Eligibility to play in one of the game’s three wheels depends on how much the punter wagered during the World Cup games played on June 14 to June 17. Those who achieved a turnover of 0.0001 BTC to 1 BTC can spin Wheel 1 where they can win 0.05 BTC, a Risk Free Bet, Boosted Odds, and more. Bettors who reached a turnover between 1 BTC and 10 BTC can spin Wheel 2 where they can receive prizes up to 0.250 BTC. After reaching a turnover of more than 10 BTC, punters can spin Wheel 3 where they can go home with rewards up to 1 BTC.
Cloudbet invites small bettors and whales alike to bet with Bitcoin for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Teams from 32 countries will compete for the right to be called the best in the world. The tournament starts this June 14, with hosts Russia kicking off against Saudi Arabia in Moscow. Cloudbet priced a Russian victory at 1.45, an Arabian win at 9.25, and a draw at 4.46.
