Microgaming Previews New Slots for 2017 at ICE
Microgaming drew much attention at ICE 2017 with its announcement of three new slot games. The new 2017 Microgaming slots to watch out for are Castle Builder II, The Phantom of the Opera, and Jurassic World.
Microgaming’s Castle Builder II is the sequel to the successful Castle Builder, which got a nomination for the EGR Game of the Year award in 2013. The Phantom of the Opera and Jurassic World slots will use many elements from the feature films and will give players new ways to enjoy these movie hits.
Castle Builder II
The sequel to the successful Castle Builder will follow the same formula as its predecessor. The slot will have three different factions with a story line that a player can advance from start to finish. Each of these storylines contains different interactive kingdoms and characters. Each of these interactive features will have a random prize. Players also receive achievements that are in-game trophies that they can share and boast to friends.
Thomas Schleischitz, CEO and founder of Rabcat, said:
“We have had great success with Castle Builder, launching the game to over 80 operators worldwide. The second installment provides extended gameplay and high replay value by way of more kingdoms, more levels, and more achievements. By embracing the concept of unlocking content and continuous progression, the game encourages players to come back for more.”
David Reynolds, game publisher of Microgaming, said:
“We’ve been very excited about the launch of Castle Builder II, a game that is designed with gamification at the forefront and that successfully sends players on an adventure to build the finest of castles. With more characters, kingdoms, and castles than its very popular predecessor, we anticipate this game to be a massive success. The focus has been to extend the game life cycle and keep players engaged as they embark on an epic adventure.”
The Phantom of the Opera
The 2004 Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera musical will get a Microgaming adaptation. This is the result of closing a licensing agreement deal with The Really Useful Group. The slot will see a release in Q3 2017.
The new slot will use three of the film’s popular numbers. These are the ‘Music of the Night’, ‘All I Ask of You’, and the memorable ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. The iconic musical slot will include many base game features and a bonus heavy free spins mode that may follow the features of the newly released Microgaming slots before.
Jurassic World, which is the fourth installment to Jurassic Park, achieved global success in the box office. Meanwhile, the Jurassic World slot will serve as the sequel to Microgaming’s Jurassic Park slot.
Should Jurassic World follow its predecessor, the new slot game will make use of video clips and character headshots from the film. Jurassic World might also contain similar dinosaur bonus features just like the first slot. Through a licensing agreement with Universal Brand Development, Microgaming will release the Jurassic World slot in summer.
