Expect Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic to find their way to slots under Microgaming, following the closed deal between the two iGaming companies.
Microgaming is not one to be left out of the Megaways™ craze, especially now that it has closed the deal with Big Time Gaming studio.
With the widely favorite Megaways™ mechanic already found in many online slots from top game providers, Microgaming is set to release new titles to integrate Megaways™. The first game to be released with the Megaways™ branding and mechanic is Shamrock Holmes, which is scheduled for a January launch.
John Coleman, CEO at Microgaming, said:
“Megaways™ has had huge success and we’re excited to be integrating the mechanic into some of our future games. Big Time Gaming are proven innovators, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them and grow their presence on our platform.”
Meanwhile, the integration of Megaways™ into Microgaming slots is another indication of Big Time Gaming’s successful product. Big Time Gaming launched Megaways™ in 2016, aiming to boost player engagement in online slots.
Nik Robinson, CEO at Big Time Gaming, said:
“We’re on a mission to bring the Megaways™ revolution to a bigger audience, and they don’t come much bigger than Microgaming. These guys were industry pioneers and today they remain one of the biggest forces in the gaming space. As ardent slots fans, we’re delighted to be contributing in a small way to the Microgaming story.”
The Megaways™ mechanic stands out because of its random reel modifier system that allows any given spin to constantly changing number of symbols on the reels. This mechanic diversifies every experience in store for players when playing Megaways™ slots.
Many game providers have already welcomed Megaways™ into their games now on board fiat and Bitcoin casino sites. Gonzo’s Quest Megaways by Red Tiger Gaming is among the latest titles to have been announced, following the likes of Ted Megaways by Blueprint Gaming and Great Rhino Megaways by Pragmatic Play.
Meanwhile, players can also look forward to the release of Hold’Em Poker by Microgaming on December 9. This will be the first poker game designed for online casinos from Microgaming, following the closure of the Microgaming Poker Network.
