Modern Features Await Online Poker Players on Prima by Microgaming
Online casino game developer Microgaming has revamped its online poker client to meet the tastes of modern-day bettors.
Microgaming has launched Prima on its Microgaming Poker Network. This new poker software aims to bring a “premium experience” to gamblers across the world.
Jean-Luc Ferriere, Microgaming CCO, said:
“It is an exciting and pivotal time for the Microgaming Poker Network. The launch of Prima marks another move in our strategy to continue developing products centred around giving players the best poker experience with a more intuitive client, optimised for any device.”
Alex Scott, head of product (Network Games) at Microgaming, added:
“This is our biggest and most important poker release, and the culmination of a multi-year strategy to revitalise our product and leapfrog the competition. I’m proud of what the team has achieved and I’m so excited about what we are going to build together in the coming months.”
Microgaming has rolled out Prima on July 26 and will be accessible to online poker players later that month through their desktop PCs, tablets, and smartphones.
Microgaming promises that bettors will have a great time while playing in one of Prima’s online poker tables.
Players can choose easily from different tables with Prima’s streamlined menu. The new software allows smooth navigation between choices of games, including cash, casino, and tournament games. In addition, players can opt to wager on a blind cash game lobby available.
Another feature of Prima is that it permits players to keep an archive of their gaming records. The software has a player history tool that displays gamers’ total wins and losses on all games.
Moreover, bettors can brag their winning hand to their friends with Prima’s GIF feature in which players can convert their card history into a decent-sized animated image. Microgaming’s new poker software also presents players with “Ultra High Definition graphics” that are optimized for play across different devices.
Furthermore, the developer designed Prima to accept and integrate updates quickly, making sure that Microgaming can deliver the newest features to its online poker customers.
Time to Keep Up
Microgaming’s Scott shared that the change was necessary to compete in the huge online poker market. If the provider stuck to the old poker client, he hinted, Microgaming would easily lose out to its competitors.
He found the old client as “old-fashioned,” featuring settings and visuals that do not fit today’s standards. Moreover, he added that none of the old client’s archaic features, even the graphics or the user interface, could hold a candle with any other else on today’s market.
Scott, quoted by PokerFuse, said:
“There are so many things about this client that bother me! [No] part of our software is really competitive with what’s out there on the market at the moment.”
Microgaming hopes it can compete and top the online poker market with Prima. Bettors can check out the new software on Microgaming’s client online casinos starting July 31, 2018.
