Gonzo’s Quest VR shows how far NetEnt has explored in the world of virtual software solutions at ICE 2018. NetEnt also showcased its new 3D live casino.
NetEnt VR takes Gonzo out of his 3D slot and puts him in an immersive environment. The software provider even welcomed ICE delegates into the VR Incan temples to join Gonzo on his quest for lost gold.
Meanwhile, another exciting future project NetEnt unveiled at ICE is its latest 3D live casino. The live casino increases the level of immersion with a digital casino space. These two Netent innovations take the competition further while giving players a new and better gaming experience.
Gonzo Gets VR Treatment and More
Gonzo’s Quest VR will be the first NetEnt VR title to hit the market in summer 2018. It will be the first VR slot that people play with real money.
Per Eriksson, CEO at NetEnt, said:
“As a first-mover in virtual reality (VR), NetEnt has been at the forefront of igaming’s application of the technology since revealing its plans for VR in 2016. NetEnt is continuously investigating in new ways of developing and distributing games and firmly believes VR has the potential to be an important channel in the future.”
The VR game is in HMTL5 format which allows smartphone users to use their mobile VR glasses with the NetEnt game. Desktop computer users can play the game with the latest VR headset for PC for total immersion. Players can still enjoy Gonzo’s Quest VR without a virtual reality headset or glasses because the game has a non-VR mode.
Immersive 3D Live Dealer Casino
The multi-awarded software provider takes live dealer games to the next level with its 3D live casino. This software is a digital space that will allow player’s avatars to explore the floor.
The 3D space includes streams from NetEnt’s live dealer games. NetEnt’s live games will use additional cameras to add multiple angles to the 3D space. This helps further push the illusion that players are in an actual casino while playing the live games.
Henrik Fagerlund, chief product officer at NetEnt, said:
“The latest addition to our Live portfolio was created so we were able to provide a more immersive setting and to break down the physical constraints to create, what we call, a larger than life experience. We are constantly looking to push the boundaries of technological advances in the live casino world, and this breakthrough can help propel not only NetEnt, but operators in reaching new heights.”
3D Live Casino is a collaboration project with Mr. Green which is in charge of providing the customization solution, Live Beyond Live, to the software.
Per Norman, CEO of Mr. Green & Co., said:
“Taking live casino to a new experience is a proof point of NetEnt’s technology leadership in the gaming industry. NetEnt and Mr. Green share the same view on innovation and creativity as key drivers to offer a superior gaming experience. It’s inspiring and promising to see the outcome of our joint efforts in bringing revolutionary new dimensions to online gaming.”
Operators will have the freedom to customize the 3D space to suit their brand. This opens the possibility for the live dealer market to have better interactive venues.
