Pragmatic Play Acquires Live Table Game Supplier Extreme Live Gaming
Online casino game provider Pragmatic Play has announced its purchase of Extreme Live Gaming from Novomatic Group. Extreme is a well-known supplier of live casino solutions, including 10 live-streamed games of roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. The acquisition will increase Pragmatic Play’s impressive gaming library that already includes video slots, scratch cards, and bingo.
The newly acquired asset currently supplies an illustrious list of satisfied client operators, including Mr Green, BetVictor, LeoVegas, and NYX Gaming. Extreme’s live games—including its monthly Golden Ball promotion—are regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and approved by Malta Gaming Authority. In addition, the games received certification from e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulations and Assurance (eCOGRA) and Quinel, two of the many respected auditors in the field.
Melissa Summerfield, chief commercial officer at Pragmatic Play, said:
“The name Extreme Live Gaming stands for quality and innovation, and we are delighted to enhance our multi-vertical gaming strategy with this acquisition, further cementing our position as a leading industry provider. The popularity of live casino has grown hugely in recent years, and the vertical holds a great deal of potential. We have every confidence that our passion and drive for going beyond our clients and players’ expectations will help us realise that potential.”
Darwyn Palenzuela, Extreme Live Gaming CEO, added:
“We pride ourselves on providing groundbreaking live solutions both popular with players and profitable for our partners, and this acquisition will empower us to take our business to the next level.”
Pragmatic Play completed the acquisition of Extreme Live Gaming for an undisclosed amount. Bettors can expect the availability of live video tables under the Pragmatic Play umbrella in the near future.
Winning Times for Pragmatic Play
Not only did Pragmatic Play bag a new valuable resource from Extreme, but the online game provider also won a huge award in the recently concluded EGB B2B Awards 2018 held in London. A panel consisting of 23 judges has awarded Pragmatic Play the win in the Innovation in Slot Provision category ahead of providers NetEnt, Play’n GO, and Microgaming.
Summerfield, in a statement after the event, said:
“Winning the ‘Innovation in Slot Provision’ award is a great achievement, and a real testament to the fantastic efforts of the entire Pragmatic Play team to make this possible. We pride ourselves on producing innovative, engaging titles, and we look forward to building on this success. Our commitment to delivering and continually optimising a diverse range of excellent games to our clients and players is our core strength.”
The game supplier was also shortlisted for three more categories: Innovation in Mobile, Mobile Supplier, RNG Casino Supplier and Slot Provider.
The award-giving body, which celebrates and recognizes the achievements of suppliers in the egaming industry, also rewarded other winners from 33 more categories. Gambling software development company Playtech topped both Poker Software and Platform of the Year categories, while live dealer gaming provider Evolution Gaming won in the Live Casino Supplier and Multi-Channel Supplier categories.
