SiGMA & AIBC Manila to Push Thru with the Two-Day Hackathon

The inaugural SiGMA and AIBC Manila joint event is expected to be the perfect venue to bring new opportunities to and establish relationships among big industry brands from the West and the key players in the Asian iGaming markets.

UPDATE: SiGMA Manila & AIBC Manila have been rescheduled to May 27-28, 2021 due to the COVID-19 global crisis.

Having been declared a global pandemic, the COVID-19 outbreak has been causing a stir in the calendar of events of the iGaming industry. For one, the ASEAN Gaming Summit has been moved from March 17-19 to July 28-30, 2020. SPiCE India, Gaming and Affiliate Marketing Expo (GAME), and G2E Asia Trade Show were also postponed to later dates.

Some 2020 iGaming conferences, though, especially those whose schedules hit midyear or the 2nd half of the year, already announced they are pushing through with their events. Among these is SiGMA and AIBC Manila, a two-day joint hackathon that will happen on June 8-9, 2020 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines.

In collaboration with Blockdevs.Asia, SiGMA and AIBC Manila 2020 is expecting 200 developers from 40 teams who will take part in the hackathon. This super show will have the participating teams focus on the mixture of both emerging technology and online casino gaming problems that need to be addressed.

There will be a cash prize of $4,000 plus a travel package for 3 to Malta for the AIBC Summit in November 2020. The winners will benefit as well from interviews and photoshoot which will form part of the November edition of Block Magazine.

Interested developers should visit the official website of Manila Blockchain Summit to know more about the registration process and requirements. Meanwhile, brands that wish to sign up as sponsors should contact sophie@sigma.com.mt.

The inaugural SiGMA and AIBC Manila joint event is expected to be the perfect venue to bring new opportunities to and establish relationships among big industry brands from the West and the key players in the Asian iGaming markets. It is a show that will bridge the gap among global iGaming sectors encompassing AI, Blockchain, Quantum Tech, and many other emerging technologies.

Meanwhile, SiGMA has partnered with MGS Entertainment Show, which is scheduled to take place on November 17-19, 2020.
