Southampton FC Shirts to Feature Sportsbet.io, Bitcoin in 2020-21 Premier League

Cryptocurrency-based sportsbook and casino Sportsbet.io becomes the main club partner of Southampton Football Club for the 2020-21 season.

Sportsbet.io is back in the Premier League, this time as the main sponsor of Southampton FC for one year.

As part of its year-long deal for the 2020-21 season, Sportsbet.io will see its logo, along with the Bitcoin logo, in front of the new Southampton shirts to be worn by the first team and the Under-23 team.

Tim Heath, CEO of CoinGaming Group, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce this sponsorship deal with one of the Premier League’s most ambitious teams. Sportsbet.io shares the club’s desire to disrupt its industry and increase its global reach. We’re proud to be able to contribute to the Saints and support such a prestigious team which has been around for nearly 135 years!”

The new Sportsbet.io sponsorship came after the Bitcoin sports betting site’s agreement with LD Sports ended earlier this month.

David Thomas, Chief Commercial Officer of Southampton Football Club, highlights Sportsbet.io’s contribution to the iGaming space—combining innovative technology and cryptocurrency expertise to provide “the ultimate fun, fast, and fair gaming experience”.

He also emphasized Sportsbet.io’s mission to provide a safe place and promote responsible gaming, and stressed that Southampton FC will help Sportsbet.io with its causes:

“They are fully committed to providing a safe place where people can enjoy their games responsibly, and have a world-class social responsibility team in place. The club will work with Sportsbet.io and our local community to promote this important social responsibility message over the course of the upcoming year.

Operating in the UK through the Sportsbetio.uk domain and a TGP Europe white-label license, the Bitcoin casino and sportsbook offers players the option to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to bet on sports and play casino games in a secure environment.

Sports betting fans who wish to bet on Premier League with Bitcoin can easily navigate through the sportsbook and find competitive odds available in Decimal and American formats, as well as in Indonesian, Malaysian, and Hong Kong odds formats.

Sportsbet.io operates outside the UK with a license from Curacao under the management of Coingaming.io.

It previously served as the sponsor for Watford FC and announced earlier this year the inaugural Crypto Cup happening on May 16, 2020. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Crypto Cup at Watford FC has been postponed.
