You must know Ubisoft and their broad games catalog. Well, they’re starting to become very familiar.
One of the biggest game developers in the world Ubisoft is hosting once again their Entrepreneurs Lab and this time they’re bringing some exciting Blockchain gaming companies to the bandwagon. Moreover, these companies would take home some advice straight from Ubisoft and they’ll learn more about the gaming industry.
The lab project started back in 2017 and each time there is a theme behind the initiative. This time it’s Social Entertainment and it will focus on Blockchain changing communities and their interactions for the better.
The tutoring program will be held throughout the span of six months and it will be held remotely.
If you didn’t know by now, Ubisoft is in the Blockchain Game Alliance and some of the studio’s big titles are Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed and many others.
Moreover, Emmeline Biscay, Ubisoft’s chief data officer has a few words to say:
“This selection shows that, more than ever, Ubisoft is committed to creating the most engaging, creative, fun and bonding entertainment experiences for tomorrow. We are convinced that by joining forces with talented entrepreneurs, we can only enrich each other and accelerate our common efforts for gamers.”
One of the projects is Xaya which is a Blockchain-based platform that allows developers to build and create games. The team behind the platform is full of highly talented developers. Currently, Xaya has two titles: Soccer Manager Elite (it has 50 million downloads and counting) and an MMO RTS game called the Taurion.
The next one is called “Splinterlands” and it’s a Blockchain game platform wherein you can trade cards on. The platform has around 20 million games played on it with more than 1 million dollars from transactions.
Caution: It’s Highly Addictive!
The third project is Sorare which is a fantasy football game where you can manage your very own football team, go into leagues, and trade cards with others. The game has more than 2,600 players each month and it received funds from companies such as Seedcamp, ConsenSys, and more.
One of the last projects is Axie Infinity which is one of the oldest Ethereum-based games by now, wherein you can raise and train for battle Axies creatures. It’s a very magical place where you can get potions, sell on a marketplace, and do other activities.
Finally, Planetarium is the last project mentioned here. It is a system on which developers can share their codes on online gaming. The project is known for titles like Nince Chronicles RPG.
To sum up, these projects and many more like Caregame within the Entrepreneurs Lab will be excellent and they will bring Blockchain to meet the world of gaming again and again.
