UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) is proud of its revamped ‘online service’ designed to ease the processes of managing and maintaining compliance obligations.
Licensed incumbents gained access to the revamped service beginning November 2019. Since then, companies have been using the service as a tool that optimizes the management of provisions in regard to personal license maintenance applications.
Helen Venn, Executive Director at UKGC, said:
“We are continuously improving the way we regulate and the continued effectiveness of the Manage your personal licence service demonstrates this commitment.”
UK Gambling Commission shared a significant 77-percent reduction in terms of the average time spent for processing personal license maintenance applications. From the average of 53 days, companies now go through the entire process within 12 days only.
Compliance teams of various companies working with the UKGC can now efficiently save, register, and update their licensing documentations.
The revamped ‘online service’, according to Venn, became instrumental and was put to the test during the lockdown period amid the coronavirus pandemic:
“It has proven to be particularly critical during the lockdown period as applicants can simply upload all their accompanying documents to the service, as opposed to posting hard copies. We have tested the service with users from creation to launch and will continue to ensure that it meets their needs through regular user research and feedback.”
Licensed incumbents who want to use the revamped service by the UK Gambling Commission can find this on its website. Online casinos licensed by the UKGC can perform actions like submit reports, update details, and download copies of the license, among others.
