The fight for the Iron Throne is quickly coming to a close.

Cable company HBO recently announced that the eighth and final season of hit drama fantasy series Game of Thrones will hit the television screens in April 2019. The series that started airing in 2011 is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s fantasy novels titled A Song of Fire and Ice, the first of which is called A Game of Thrones.

Huge fans of the HBO series, and even the books, could not wait for the show’s finale. To anticipate the upcoming final episodes, online sportsbooks have challenged hardcore fans to predict what would happen in Season 8 of Game of Thrones.

1| Cersei’s Murderer

Online sportsbook Sky Bet offers a number of odds on who will slay Cersei Lannister, the ambitious Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. As of November 14, the leading character is her lover and brother Jaime Lannister at 8/11. He is followed by Arya Stark at 7/4 and another brother of Cersei, Tyrion Lannister, at 6/1.

2| Season 8’s First Blood

Sky Bet also accepts bets on who will die first in the upcoming season. The top three favorites to fall first are all from the House Greyjoy. Euron had the shortest odds at 5/4, followed by Yara and Theon at 4/1 and 9/2, respectively.

3| White Walkers

Odds are also available for who would turn into a White Walker in the eighth season.  Sky Bet priced the chance of Hodor joining the White Walkers at 3/1. Meanwhile, Jorah Mormont has the odds of 7/2 and Beric Dondarrion’s odds is at 4/1.

4| Cluedo

There is also a betting market on Sky Bet where bettors can place a wager on how a character would die next season. The most likely on this market is Jaime killing Cersei by choking her in the Throne Room, with the odds of 6/1. The scenario in which Jamie kills Euron with a sword while on a boat follows next at 9/1.

5| Ruler of Westeros

William Hill offers the odds on who will end up ruling Westeros as the series ends. Bran Stark is the clear leader at 11/10. Miles away at joint-second are Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, both at 4/1.
