Yggdrasil Creates 3D Virtual Blackjack & More Table Games
Yggdrasil Gaming takes a step out of its comfort zone by expanding its portfolio to accommodate table games starting with blackjack.
The soon-to-be-released table games from Yggdrasil will utilize new technology and features like the REDUX progressive technology and the multiplayer component. These new software enhancements are expected to provide players with improved gameplay and seamless player interaction.
Krzysztof Opalka, CPO of Yggdrasil, said:
“Our table games provision, starting with Blackjack, is set to break new ground in online casino gaming. The table games vertical has been fairly static in recent years. But our product’s combination of social interaction and high-end playability is unlike any other currently on the market.
It won’t just be a single player trying to beat the house, but instead thousands of real players from all over the world, who are all able to join the game simultaneously with the aim of hitting big hands and bigger wins.”
Yggdrasil’s Blackjack Game Goes 3D
What will make the company’s blackjack game stand out is its use of REDUX. This technology takes players to a 3D virtual casino space with blackjack tables. Instead automatically showing a casino table, the game will have players navigate the virtual space and play on any of the available tables within it. 3D Space allows for multiple players to interact with one another.
The REDUX-powered blackjack game uses motion capture technology which allows for in-game avatars that feature realistic hand gestures and facial expressions within the 3D virtual casino. The level of detail helps players fully express themselves while playing and taking to other players.
Yggdrasil’s blackjack game will have other side bets that are found in the variant version of the game. These side bets may include 21+3 and Perfect Pairs and will be available in real-money and Bitcoin casinos.
More Innovative Table Games This Year
Other than blackjack, Yggdrasil also plans to release roulette and baccarat this year. All succeeding table games will also use the REDUX technology for improved gaming experience.
“We have a packed roadmap of innovative new games and features. Our aim is to innovate table games in a similar fashion to slots, where a constant product cycle of new variations built on familiar mechanics drives growth.”
The new table games will have many features that will benefit operators. These include the use of Yggdrasil’s BOOST in-game promotional tools. Operators also have the option to customize aspects of the REDUX 3D space. This allows them to add images and logos that can help increase their brand recognition.
Those who want to get a first look at what the REDUX technology can do should attend ICE Totally Gaming 2018, wherein Yggdrasil Gaming will showcase its new table game on the demo floor.
