How We Rate Crypto Casinos
Our 1-5 rating for crypto casinos: seven weighted criteria from licence to withdrawal handling, a worked example, override rules and legacy /10 scores.
A crypto casino can look excellent until you try to withdraw. Our rating is built around that moment. Each casino gets a score from 1 to 5 with one decimal, calculated from seven criteria that we weight by how much they affect your money. This page sets out the weights, the arithmetic and the rules that override the result.
The seven criteria
| Criterion | Weight | What we look at |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto withdrawals | 25% | Minimum and maximum per transaction, day and month; fees on top of network fees; stated processing time; what triggers ID checks (KYC) and when |
| Licence and operator | 20% | Company name and registration, licence number, whether the licence checks out in the regulator’s register, enforcement history |
| Bonus terms | 15% | Wagering multiple and what it applies to, max bet, game weighting, time limit, max cashout, whether crypto deposits qualify |
| Games and fairness | 15% | Named studios, live tables, and for in-house “provably fair” games whether you can actually verify a result with the server seed, client seed and nonce |
| Coins and networks | 10% | Which coins and which networks are supported (for example USDT on TRON or Ethereum), minimum deposits per coin, whether balances are held in crypto or converted |
| Safer gambling tools | 10% | Deposit limits, cool-off and self-exclusion in the account, links to help |
| Support and account terms | 5% | Live chat, readable terms, dormant-account and “irregular play” clauses |
Each criterion is scored 1 to 5. Multiply by the weight, add the seven results, round to one decimal.
The arithmetic, step by step
Example casino: licence 2.5, withdrawals 4.5, coins 4, bonus terms 3, games 4, support 4, safer gambling 3.
- Withdrawals 4.5 × 0.25 = 1.125
- Licence 2.5 × 0.20 = 0.500
- Bonus terms 3 × 0.15 = 0.450
- Games 4 × 0.15 = 0.600
- Coins 4 × 0.10 = 0.400
- Safer gambling 3 × 0.10 = 0.300
- Support 4 × 0.05 = 0.200
Sum: 3.575, published as 3.6. Fast, cheap withdrawals lift a casino a long way; a thin licence still holds it back.
Overrides
- Your country first. A casino is only recommended on a page aimed at a country it accepts. Restricted-country lists in the terms are read for every review.
- Verified offers only. Bonus amounts and wagering on a card come from the casino’s own site on the date of the update.
- Regulator action is printed. Bans, fines or blacklisting go into the review and lower the licence score.
- Closed or unreachable brands are removed from all lists.
- “Provably fair” is not taken on trust. If a casino claims it but gives no way to verify a round, it gets no credit for it.
Old scores out of 10
Reviews written before October 2026 show a “Casino Rating” out of 10 from the previous method, which also counted a community “Player Rating”. The site no longer collects player ratings, so those scores are historical. As reviews are re-checked, the /10 score is replaced by a 1-5 score from this method; a legacy score cannot simply be halved to compare. Reviews that start with “We currently cannot vouch for this casino” carry no recommendation at all.
Sources, in order
- Licensing authorities and their public registers, for example the Curaçao Gaming Authority, and other regulators’ enforcement notices.
- The casino’s terms, bonus terms, banking or cashier pages and help centre, read on the date of the update.
- Game providers’ published rules and RTP figures; for provably fair games, the casino’s own verification tool.
- Reputable trade press, for dates and context only.
Limits of what we test
We do not claim test deposits or timed withdrawals unless they happened, and if a review ever reports one it will give the date, coin, amount and result. Processing times in our reviews are what the casino states, labelled as such. Nothing here is investment advice, and no rating says a casino is safe for everyone.

Frequently asked questions
Why do withdrawals carry the biggest weight?
Because that is where crypto casinos differ most and where players lose most: low limits, extra fees and verification demands that appear only when you try to cash out.
Can I convert an old 9.2/10 score to the new scale?
Not reliably. Old scores came from a different method that included player ratings. Re-checked reviews get a new 1-5 score from the current method.
Do you verify provably fair games?
We check whether the casino gives players the server seed, client seed and nonce and a way to verify a round. A casino that only uses the label gets no credit for it.
Can a casino pay for a higher rating?
No. Affiliate deals can influence which casinos we feature, never the score or the facts in a review.
