Stake.com is a crypto-first casino and sportsbook run by Medium Rare N.V. (Curaçao, company number 145353) under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. It accepts adults aged 18 or over, but not from the 44 countries and one Canadian province listed in its terms, which include the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and most of the EU. Our verdict: one of the strongest choices for provably fair originals and VIP rakeback, with no classic deposit match and an offshore licence that gives limited dispute protection.
This review was refreshed in October 2026 from Stake’s own terms, VIP guide, payment guide and responsible-gambling pages. Nothing here is based on invented test deposits: where Stake does not publish a number (withdrawal times, KYC thresholds), we say so.
Who can play at Stake (October 2026)
Clause 14.3 of Stake’s terms names the “Prohibited Jurisdictions”: Afghanistan, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, the Cayman Islands, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Curaçao, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, North Korea, Ontario, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States and Zimbabwe. The rule covers anyone physically located there, residents and visitors alike, and Stake treats VPN use or false location data as a breach.
US players should know that Stake.us is a separate sweepstakes site, not the Stake.com casino reviewed here; our guide to crypto casinos in the USA covers what US residents can actually use. In Canada, Ontario is excluded. Other provinces are not on the list, but provincial rules still apply to you.

Our verdict
Stake earns its 4.4 rating on three things: a deep in-house game range with published house edges, a VIP Club that pays back on volume rather than on locked bonus money, and a single crypto balance across casino and sportsbook. Its weak points are the opposite side of the same model. Casual players who want a big first-deposit match will find nothing comparable to the multi-deposit packages at BitStarz, and the Curaçao licence means there is no regulator to step into an individual dispute.
How we score brands is explained on our casino rating methodology page. Stake lost points for the long restricted list and the lack of a published withdrawal time; it gained points for the clear provably fair tooling and the depth of its responsible-gambling controls.
Pros
- Provably fair Stake Originals, with Dice at a 99% RTP according to Stake’s game page.
- No wagering maze: rewards come as rakeback, boosts and reloads rather than a locked match bonus.
- More than 20 coins plus card purchases through MoonPay or Swapped.com.
- Large provider line-up, including Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City and Play’n GO.
- Daily deposit limits, wager and loss limits, product exclusions and self-exclusion in the account.
Cons
- No conventional welcome match for new players.
- Long prohibited-country list, including the US, UK, Australia and most of the EU.
- No published withdrawal processing time or maximum in the terms.
- Offshore licence: disputes go to Stake, then ADR, then the courts of Curaçao.
Licence and how to verify it
Medium Rare N.V. holds Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1451/0918 according to clause 1.1 of Stake’s terms and the licences page on stake.com. That is a licence issued under Curaçao’s National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK), in force since 24 December 2024; the old “Curaçao eGaming” master licence wording on older review pages is obsolete. Our Curaçao licence explainer sets out what the new regime does and does not cover.
- Scroll to the footer on stake.com and note the company name and licence number.
- Open the Curaçao Gaming Authority site at cga.cw and use its public licence register.
- Search for Medium Rare N.V. or OGL/2024/1451/0918 and check that the status is active and the domain matches.
- If the register is unavailable, record the footer details and check again later. The CGA confirmed unauthorised access to its portal on 17 and 22 September 2026, the portal was still offline on 2 October 2026, and the CGA says existing licences remain valid.
Bonuses, VIP Club and rakeback
Stake does not run a standard first-deposit match. Its own VIP guide says new players can redeem a welcome offer code within 24 hours of signing up, and each code carries its own terms, so read them in the account before you deposit. The older claim on this page of an “exclusive 10% rakeback code” has been removed because we could not confirm it is still offered.
Real value sits in the VIP Club. Progress is based on wagering, and sports bets count three times faster than casino bets. Stake’s guide lists these casino wagering thresholds:
| VIP level | Total casino wagered | Main perks (per Stake’s guide) |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | $10,000 | Rakeback and weekly boosts |
| Silver | $50,000 | Higher rakeback and boosts |
| Gold | $100,000 | Higher rakeback and boosts |
| Platinum I to III | $250,000 / $500,000 / $1,000,000 | Daily reloads (reload period up to 42 days at Platinum III) |
| Platinum IV to VI | $2.5m / $5m / $10m | Dedicated VIP host |
| Diamond I to IV | $25m / $50m / $100m / $250m | Host-managed reloads and bonuses |
Weekly boosts are posted on Saturdays at 12:30 GMT and depend on your last seven days of play and your level. Stake also runs a $75,000 weekly raffle, with one ticket for every $1,000 wagered, and a $100,000 race on its promotions page. Since rewards in Stake’s model flow back from volume, our VIP bonus guide explains how to judge whether rakeback actually beats a deposit match for your stake size.
Worked maths: what a VIP level costs
House edge turns wagering into an expected cost. Reaching Bronze takes $10,000 of casino wagering. On Stake Dice, with its stated 99% RTP (a 1% edge), the expected cost of that volume is $10,000 x 1% = $100. Play the same $10,000 on a slot with a 96% RTP and the expected cost is $400. Gold, at $100,000 wagered, carries an expected cost of $1,000 on a 1% game and $4,000 on a 96% slot.
In crypto terms the logic is the same. Wager 0.1 BTC on a 1% edge game and the expected loss is 0.001 BTC; wager it on a 96% slot and it is 0.004 BTC. Rakeback and reloads return part of that cost, but Stake does not publish fixed rakeback percentages, so treat any figure you see elsewhere as unofficial.
The 100% deposit turnover rule
Clauses 8.5 and 8.10 of the terms require you to wager 100% of the value of your deposit before you can request a fiat or crypto withdrawal. Deposit 0.01 BTC and you need 0.01 BTC of bets placed before cashing out. This is not a bonus wagering requirement: it is an anti-money-laundering rule, and it means you cannot deposit and immediately withdraw.
Cryptocurrencies, networks and payments
Stake’s crypto guide lists more than 20 coins, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Tron (TRX), EOS, Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Dai (DAI), BNB, Cronos (CRO), ApeCoin (APE), Chainlink (LINK), The Sandbox (SAND), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Uniswap (UNI), Polygon, Solana (SOL) and the TRUMP meme coin. Balances can be displayed in many fiat currencies, from USD, EUR and CAD to JPY, INR and MXN, but the wallet itself holds the coin you deposited.
Tokens such as USDT and USDC exist on several blockchains. Stake’s deposit guide tells you to double-check the payment details and make sure you have chosen the correct network before you send. Sending a token on a network the deposit address does not support can lose the funds, so copy the address from the network tab you actually intend to use.
How to deposit crypto at Stake
- Open Wallet at the top of the page and choose the Deposit tab.
- Pick the coin, then the network, and copy the deposit address (or scan the QR code).
- Paste the address into your own wallet or exchange withdrawal form; our crypto wallet guide covers the main options.
- Send a small test amount first if you have not used that network before.
- Wait for the network confirmations; the balance appears once Stake credits the deposit.
Players without crypto can use Buy Crypto in the wallet. Stake’s guides name MoonPay (cards including Visa, Mastercard and Maestro) and Swapped.com for purchases, plus Swap Connect and Mesh for moving funds from other accounts. Local-currency deposits through third-party services exist in some countries, but clause 7.9 notes that methods and limits vary by country and are shown in the wallet.
Withdrawals: what the terms say
- Identity: Stake can refuse a withdrawal until it has verified that the account holder is making it (clause 8.1).
- Same method: withdrawals go back through the deposit method where possible, and can be split across methods (clause 8.3).
- Minimum: shown in the wallet when you withdraw (clause 8.7).
- Fees: Stake may charge a withdrawal fee at its discretion, and your bank or wallet can add its own (clause 8.9).
- Pending requests: Stake can reject several pending withdrawals and ask for one combined request (clause 8.8).
Stake does not publish a processing time or a maximum withdrawal in its terms. Once a crypto payout leaves Stake, arrival depends on the chain: a congested Bitcoin mempool is slower and dearer than a stablecoin on a low-fee network.
KYC and account verification
As of October 2026, Stake’s terms do not promise a no-KYC experience. Clause 4.8 lets Stake ask for any KYC documentation it deems necessary to confirm identity and location, at any time, and restrict play, payments or withdrawals until it is satisfied. Clause 8.12 adds that extra checks can apply to any withdrawal, and clause 8.6 allows enhanced due diligence before fiat payouts.
In practice you can sign up with an email and play small amounts in crypto, but you should expect a request for ID, proof of address or source of funds before larger withdrawals or once your activity grows. Have your documents ready rather than discovering the requirement with a big balance waiting.
Games and providers
The casino lobby splits into Stake Originals, slots, live casino, game shows, Burst games, an Enhanced RTP section, bonus-buy slots, Stake Poker and table categories for blackjack, baccarat and roulette. Stake’s provider directory includes Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Play’n GO, BGaming, PG Soft, Spribe, Novomatic, Games Global, Endorphina, ELK Studios and Big Time Gaming, among many others.
Live dealer tables and game shows come largely from Evolution. The lobby also carries high-limit Salon Privé blackjack tables and a set of games marked “Only on Stake”.
Stake Originals
Originals are the reason many crypto players choose Stake. They are built in-house and are provably fair, with fast rounds and adjustable risk. Stake Dice, one of the first Originals from 2017, uses a 0 to 100 roll: you set a target, choose Roll Over or Roll Under, and the multiplier follows your chosen win chance, with a 99% RTP. Auto-bet tools include stop-on-profit and stop-on-loss settings, which double as a bankroll limit.
Other Originals include Limbo, Plinko, Mines, Keno, Crash, Hilo and Wheel. If you want to understand the maths behind dice-style games before playing, our crypto dice guide walks through win chance, payout and house edge.
Provably fair: what it covers
Provably fair applies to Stake Originals only. Before a round, Stake commits to a server seed by showing its hash; you supply or accept a client seed; each bet adds a nonce. After you rotate the seed pair, Stake reveals the old server seed so you can recompute every result and confirm nothing was changed after your bet.
- Open the Fairness panel in an Original and note the hashed server seed and your client seed.
- Play your rounds; each one increments the nonce.
- Rotate the seed pair to reveal the previous server seed.
- Hash the revealed seed and check it matches the hash shown earlier, then recompute a result with seed, client seed and nonce.
Slots and live tables from outside providers are not provably fair. They rely on the providers’ certified random number generators and on studio procedures. Our provably fair guide explains the method and its limits in more detail.
Responsible gambling tools
Stake’s “Stake Smart” pages list a loss limit and a wager limit, each settable per day, week or month, plus a daily deposit limit set in USD. Lowering a limit takes effect at once; raising or removing a deposit limit triggers a 24-hour cooling-off period. Crypto deposits above your limit are parked in a withholding balance and released as the daily limit resets.
You can also exclude yourself from specific products, take a temporary break, or choose indefinite self-exclusion, which runs for at least six months before a return-to-play review. Stake’s footer points to Gamblingtherapy.org for support. Gamblers Anonymous (gamblersanonymous.org) runs meetings in many countries.
Support and complaints
Support runs through live chat on the site and [email protected]. For a complaint, the terms (clauses 23 and 29) send you to customer support first. Clause 25 makes the agreement subject to Curaçao law and the Curaçao courts.
The Curaçao Gaming Authority does not mediate individual disputes. If Stake’s answer does not settle it, the route is one of the CGA-certified alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies; the CGA published its list of seven certified bodies on 31 August 2026. Keep screenshots, bet IDs and transaction hashes from the start.
Stake and the PrimeDice story
Stake comes from the team behind PrimeDice, one of the earliest Bitcoin dice sites. PrimeDice announced its closure in August 2025 and stopped betting on 8 October 2025, telling players to withdraw and move to Stake.com; no balance migration was promised. Our PrimeDice page keeps the history for readers who still search for it.

FAQ
Is Stake legit and licensed?
Yes. Stake.com is run by Medium Rare N.V. (Curaçao company number 145353) and its terms state a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence, number OGL/2024/1451/0918. A Curaçao licence is an offshore licence: the CGA does not mediate individual player disputes, so complaints go to Stake first and then to a CGA-certified ADR body.
Which countries can play at Stake?
Adults aged 18 or over (or the higher local age) in countries that are not on Stake’s prohibited list. As of October 2026, clause 14.3 of Stake’s terms excludes 44 countries plus Ontario, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and Brazil.
Does Stake have a welcome bonus?
Not as a standard deposit match. Stake’s own VIP guide says new players can redeem a welcome offer code within 24 hours of signing up, with terms set per code. Most value comes later through the VIP Club: rakeback, weekly boosts, reloads from Platinum and level-up rewards.
How long do Stake crypto withdrawals take?
Stake’s terms do not publish a fixed processing time. Before any crypto withdrawal you must have wagered 100% of your deposit, and Stake can run extra KYC checks first. After Stake sends the coins, the speed depends on the blockchain and network you picked.
Do I need KYC at Stake?
Possibly. Clause 4.8 of the terms lets Stake ask for any KYC document at any time and restrict withdrawals until your identity is confirmed, and clause 8.12 allows extra checks on any withdrawal. Plan on verifying before a large cash-out.
Are Stake games provably fair?
Stake Originals such as Dice, Limbo, Plinko, Mines, Keno and Crash are provably fair: you can check each result with the server seed, client seed and nonce. Third-party slots and live tables are not provably fair; they rely on the providers’ certified random number generators and live studios.
