Bitcoin Casino: Best BTC Casinos and How Bitcoin Payments Work
Bitcoin casinos checked in October 2026: licences, BTC welcome bonuses and wagering, plus how BTC deposits, fees, confirmations and withdrawals really work.

Disclosure We may earn a commission when you click links to operators. It never buys a place on our lists or a better rating. Editorial policy
A Bitcoin casino is an online casino that lets you deposit, play and withdraw in Bitcoin (BTC) instead of, or alongside, dollars and euros. For October 2026 our top Bitcoin casinos are BitStarz for all-round play, 7Bit and mBit for the largest BTC-denominated welcome packages, Stake for provably fair originals, and Winz.io for a BTC welcome bonus with no wagering. Our partner casinos, Foxy Gold and Tenobet, are listed first and marked as partners.
Below you will find the list, then a practical guide to how Bitcoin payments work at a casino: address types, confirmations, fees, stuck transactions, units such as mBTC and satoshis, and how BTC bonuses really add up. Every licence and offer was checked on the operator’s own pages in October 2026.
Who can sign up: these casinos serve international players outside their restricted lists. None of them accepts players from the US or the UK where we checked their terms; US readers should see our guide for US players.

What makes a good Bitcoin casino
Plenty of casinos add a Bitcoin logo to the cashier. A good Bitcoin casino goes further: it lets you hold your balance in BTC, pays withdrawals back in BTC without forcing a conversion, publishes its limits in BTC, and sets its bonus caps in BTC too. We look for five things.
- A native BTC balance. Some casinos convert your deposit to euros or dollars on arrival and back again on withdrawal, charging a spread both ways. BitStarz, mBit, 7Bit, Stake, BC.Game and FortuneJack all let you play in BTC directly.
- Sensible confirmation rules. The casino should credit deposits after a small number of network confirmations, not hold them for hours.
- Clear withdrawal processing. A stated target time and published limits. BitStarz’s terms, for example, say it will try to pay out within one hour.
- BTC-denominated bonus terms. Caps such as “up to 1 BTC” and maximum bets stated in BTC units, so you know exactly where you stand.
- A licence you can verify. We want a company name and licence number that match a regulator’s register or validator.
The best Bitcoin casinos in detail
BitStarz: best all-round Bitcoin casino
Bitcoin has been accepted at BitStarz since it opened in 2014 and lets you switch between BTC and fiat balances in one account. Gareton B.V. operates it under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/165/0185. The welcome package is worth up to 5 BTC plus 180 free spins over four deposits, with 40x wagering on the bonus and seven days to use each part. Spins arrive in batches of 20 a day over nine days. Its restricted list is long and includes the US, UK, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal and Poland. Read the BitStarz review.
7Bit: largest BTC package with a low minimum
Kika Technology B.V. runs 7Bit under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2023/147/0081. Its four-step welcome pack totals 325% up to 5.25 BTC plus 250 free spins: 100% up to 1.5 BTC, 75% up to 1.25 BTC, 50% up to 1.25 BTC and a fourth 100% step, for 5.25 BTC in total. The qualifying minimum is just 0.24 mBTC, wagering is 35x, and the maximum bet while wagering is 12 μBTC per spin. Weekly cashback of up to 20% rewards regular play, and the lobby claims more than 10,000 games. Check the restricted list first: it is one of the longest we have seen. See the 7Bit review.
mBit: crypto-focused with free spins on every step
Scores55 Tech B.V. operates mBit under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1307/0748. The three-part welcome bonus gives 100% up to 1 BTC plus 100 free spins, 100% up to 1.5 BTC plus 100 spins, and 125% up to 1.5 BTC plus 125 spins: 4 BTC and 325 spins in total, at 40x per bonus. The minimum deposit is 30 USDT or the crypto equivalent. More in our mBit review.
Stake: originals and a single BTC balance for casino and sports
Medium Rare N.V. runs Stake under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. There is no fixed welcome match; Stake rewards play through rakeback, VIP levels and weekly promotions. Its originals, including dice, crash, plinko and mines, are provably fair, and the same BTC balance works in the sportsbook. Stake is not available in the US. Read the Stake review.
Winz.io: Bitcoin bonus with no wagering
Winz.io offers a welcome bonus of up to 130 mBTC with no wagering requirement, plus 20% daily cashback for crypto players. It states licences from Anjouan and Tobique on its site. Because nothing has to be wagered, the bonus value is close to its face value, which makes it the simplest BTC bonus on this list to understand. Details in the Winz.io review.
BC.Game, FortuneJack and Koru
BC.Game (Twocent Technology Limited, Anjouan ALSI-202410011-FI1) supports a very wide coin list with an in-site swap; its welcome bonus is paid in its own BCD token and released as you wager. FortuneJack (PlayWave SRL, Anjouan ALSI-202411021-FI1) has offered Bitcoin dice since 2014 and gives up to 2.4 BTC plus 400 free spins over four deposits. Koru (Novatrix SRL, Tobique licence 0000002) quotes its package in euros or dollars, up to €/$15,000 plus 350 free spins at 50x with a 5x cashout cap, and adds a wager-free 5% bonus to each crypto deposit.
Partner picks: Foxy Gold and Tenobet
Foxy Gold takes Bitcoin and ten other coins through the XCoins processor and offers up to €1,200 plus 120 free spins on the first deposit at 35x. Tenobet, run by Softon Ltd under Anjouan licence ALSI-202409012-FI1, offers a 400% slots package up to €5,000 over three deposits and accepts crypto alongside cards. Both quote bonuses in euros rather than BTC, so the value in Bitcoin depends on the exchange rate on the day you deposit.
Bitcoin units: BTC, mBTC, bits and satoshis
Casino cashiers and bonus terms use several Bitcoin units, sometimes on the same page. Getting them wrong by a factor of 1,000 is easy, so here is the conversion table.
| Unit | Value in BTC | Where you see it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 BTC | 1 | Bonus caps (“up to 1 BTC”) |
| 1 mBTC (millibitcoin) | 0.001 | Minimum deposits, Winz.io’s 130 mBTC bonus |
| 1 μBTC (microbitcoin, or “bit”) | 0.000001 | Maximum bet rules, such as 7Bit’s 12 μBTC |
| 1 satoshi (sat) | 0.00000001 | Network fees, quoted in sats per virtual byte |
Three quick checks: 130 mBTC is 0.13 BTC. 0.24 mBTC is 0.00024 BTC, or 24,000 sats. And 12 μBTC is 0.000012 BTC, or 1,200 sats, which is a small bet.
Getting Bitcoin for casino play
If you do not hold Bitcoin yet, there are three common ways to get it. Each has different costs and privacy trade-offs.
A regulated exchange
The usual route. Exchanges such as Coinbase, Kraken and Binance let you buy BTC with a bank transfer or card after verifying your identity. Bank transfers are the cheapest funding method at most exchanges; card purchases cost more. Once you have bought, withdraw to your own wallet rather than sending straight to a casino: some exchanges restrict gambling payments in their terms, and casino withdrawals sent back to an exchange account can trigger questions. Our crypto exchanges guide compares the main options.
Buying inside the casino
Several casinos embed a third-party “buy crypto” widget in the cashier. It is convenient, but you pay the provider’s fees and spread, and you still go through the provider’s identity checks. Check the final BTC amount before you confirm.
Peer-to-peer and Bitcoin ATMs
Peer-to-peer platforms and Bitcoin ATMs exist in many countries. Both usually cost more than an exchange, and ATMs in particular can charge high fees. Scams are common in peer-to-peer trading, so only use platforms with escrow and never release payment outside the platform.
Setting up a Bitcoin wallet in ten minutes
- Pick a wallet. Electrum is a long-standing desktop wallet for Bitcoin only; many mobile wallets also support Bitcoin. Download only from the project’s official site or the official app store listing. See our Electrum guide.
- Create a new wallet and choose a native SegWit (bc1q) wallet type if asked. It produces smaller transactions and lower fees.
- Write down the recovery phrase (usually 12 or 24 words) on paper. Do not photograph it or store it in cloud notes.
- Set a strong wallet password. This protects the wallet file on your device; the recovery phrase protects the coins themselves.
- Receive a small test amount from your exchange, then check that it arrived before you move more.
For larger balances, a hardware wallet such as a Ledger or Trezor keeps the keys off your computer. See our hardware wallets guide.
What a Bitcoin fee looks like in practice
A simple payment from a native SegWit wallet, with one input and two outputs (the casino and your change), is about 141 virtual bytes. Multiply that by the fee rate to get the cost:
| Fee rate | Fee for a 141 vB payment | In BTC |
|---|---|---|
| 2 sat/vB (quiet network) | 282 sats | 0.00000282 |
| 10 sat/vB | 1,410 sats | 0.0000141 |
| 50 sat/vB (busy network) | 7,050 sats | 0.0000705 |
A wallet holding many small deposits needs more inputs to send a payment, and each extra SegWit input adds roughly 68 virtual bytes. That is why consolidating small amounts when fees are low saves money later. Live fee rates are on mempool.space.
How a Bitcoin deposit works
- Open the cashier and choose BTC. The casino shows a deposit address and usually a QR code. Many casinos give each player a fixed address; some generate a new one each time.
- Check the address type. Bitcoin addresses starting with “1” are legacy, “3” are script (often wrapped SegWit), “bc1q” are native SegWit and “bc1p” are Taproot. Modern wallets can send to all of them; very old wallets may not support “bc1p”.
- Send from your wallet. Paste the address, double-check the first and last six characters, choose a fee, and send.
- Wait for confirmations. Bitcoin’s protocol targets one block about every ten minutes on average. Casinos credit deposits after a set number of confirmations, which they state in the cashier or help centre.
- Track it on a block explorer. Paste your transaction ID (TXID) into a public explorer such as mempool.space to see whether it has confirmed.
Send a small test deposit the first time you use a new casino or a new wallet. It costs one extra fee and rules out address mistakes.
Network fees and how to choose one
Bitcoin fees are paid to miners and set in satoshis per virtual byte (sat/vB). They rise when many people want to transact at once and fall when the network is quiet. Your wallet suggests a fee for fast, medium and slow confirmation; mempool.space shows the same estimates live. For casino deposits, a medium fee is usually enough, because a delay of an hour costs you nothing but time.
Fees depend on the size of the transaction in bytes, not the amount of Bitcoin sent. Sending 0.001 BTC can cost the same fee as sending 1 BTC, which makes very small deposits relatively expensive when the network is busy. Native SegWit and Taproot addresses produce smaller transactions and so cost less to spend from.
Stuck transactions
If you set the fee too low during a busy period, a deposit can sit unconfirmed for hours. Two fixes exist. Replace-by-fee (RBF) lets you rebroadcast the same transaction with a higher fee, if your wallet marked it as replaceable. Child-pays-for-parent (CPFP) lets the receiver, or you if there is change, spend the unconfirmed output with a high fee so miners pick up both. Casinos rarely do CPFP for players, so RBF from your own wallet is the practical route. Do not send a second deposit “to push” the first one; it will not help.
Lightning Network
The Lightning Network is a payment layer on top of Bitcoin that settles small payments almost instantly for a tiny fee. A few crypto casinos accept Lightning deposits, but support is patchy and changes often, so check the cashier for a “Lightning” option rather than assuming it. If a casino does not show one, a Lightning payment cannot be sent to its normal Bitcoin address.
How a Bitcoin withdrawal works
- Verify your account early. Every casino here can ask for identity documents before paying out, typically on the first withdrawal.
- Clear or cancel any bonus. Withdrawing with an active bonus usually forfeits the bonus and its winnings.
- Enter your own address. Use a wallet you control. Withdrawing straight to an exchange can trigger extra questions from the exchange.
- Wait for approval. The casino reviews the request, then broadcasts the transaction. Approval is the slow part; the blockchain transfer itself takes minutes to an hour.
- Check the TXID. Ask support for the transaction ID if the money has not arrived, then look it up on a block explorer.
Watch the limits. Tenobet caps withdrawals at €1,000 a day and €10,000 a month; Foxy Gold’s defaults are €4,000 a day and €10,000 a week; Koru caps cashouts from bonus play at five times the bonus.
Bitcoin bonuses: how they really add up
Large BTC numbers make welcome offers look bigger than they play. Two numbers matter more than the headline: the wagering multiple and the maximum bet.
| Casino | Headline | Wagering | Turnover on a 0.01 BTC bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winz.io | Up to 130 mBTC | None | 0 BTC |
| 7Bit | 325% up to 5.25 BTC + 250 FS | 35x | 0.35 BTC |
| BitStarz | Up to 5 BTC + 180 FS | 40x bonus | 0.40 BTC |
| mBit | Up to 4 BTC + 325 FS | 40x bonus | 0.40 BTC |
| Koru | Up to €/$15,000 + 350 FS | 50x, 5x max cashout | 0.50 BTC equivalent |
A worked example: you claim a 0.01 BTC bonus at 40x and play slots that return 96% on average. You need 0.4 BTC of bets. The expected loss on that turnover is 4% of 0.4 BTC, or 0.016 BTC, which is more than the bonus. In practice that means most players do not finish wagering with a profit; the bonus mainly gives you more playing time. With 35x the expected cost drops to 0.014 BTC, and with no wagering there is none.
Two more rules catch BTC players out. First, game contributions: BitStarz counts table, live and instant-win games at typically 5%, and Koru counts card, table and video poker games at 5%. Second, the maximum bet: 7Bit allows 12 μBTC per spin while you wager, and going over can void the bonus. Our Bitcoin casino bonus guide covers every bonus type.
Bitcoin casino games and their house edge
The coin you bet with does not change a game’s maths. What changes is the unit: a European roulette bet of 0.001 BTC carries the same edge as a €10 bet. These are the standard figures for common games under typical rules.
| Game | House edge (typical rules) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| European roulette (single zero) | 2.70% | 37 pockets; straight-up pays 35 to 1 |
| American roulette (double zero) | 5.26% | 38 pockets; avoid if a single-zero table exists |
| Baccarat, Banker bet | 1.06% | With 5% commission, 8 decks |
| Baccarat, Player bet | 1.24% | 8 decks |
| Baccarat, Tie at 8 to 1 | 14.36% | One of the worst common bets |
| Blackjack with basic strategy | Roughly 0.5% or less | Depends heavily on the table’s rules |
| Crypto dice (1% edge design) | 1% | Edge is the same at any win chance you choose |
Slots do not have a single figure; each title publishes a return-to-player (RTP) percentage in its info panel, and the house edge is 100% minus that number. Some studios ship the same slot at several RTP settings, so the version at one casino can pay back less than at another. Check the info screen inside the game, not a review site.
Live dealer games follow the same rules as their table equivalents. Their drawback for Bitcoin players is minimum stakes: a live blackjack table might start at the equivalent of a few dollars, which can be a large bet in μBTC terms for a small balance.
Checklist: choosing your Bitcoin casino
| Question | Good answer | Warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| Who runs it? | Named company and registration number in the terms | “The Company” with no name |
| Licence? | Seal opens a validator on the regulator’s domain | Image only, or a validator hosted by the casino |
| BTC balance? | Play and withdraw in BTC | Forced conversion to fiat |
| Withdrawal limits? | Published per day, week or month | “At our discretion” only |
| Bonus terms? | Wagering, max bet, max cashout stated | Max cashout clause you only discover later |
| Your country? | Not on the restricted list | Listed, and the site tells you to use a VPN |
Worked examples: table games in BTC
Roulette. You bet 0.001 BTC on red at a European table. Eighteen of the 37 pockets are red, so you win 0.001 BTC with probability 18/37 (48.6%) and lose 0.001 BTC otherwise. The expected loss per spin is 2.70% of the stake, or 0.000027 BTC (2,700 sats). Over 100 spins that is about 0.0027 BTC on average.
Blackjack. At a table with a house edge of about 0.5% under basic strategy, 200 hands of 0.0005 BTC put 0.1 BTC through the game. The expected loss is about 0.0005 BTC, one average bet. Mistakes against basic strategy raise that figure quickly, and the table’s rules (number of decks, whether the dealer hits soft 17, the blackjack payout) change it as well. A 6 to 5 blackjack payout instead of 3 to 2 costs far more than any other single rule.
Dice. At a 1% edge, 1,000 rolls of 10 μBTC each put 0.01 BTC through the game for an expected loss of 0.0001 BTC (10,000 sats). The result of any single session swings far more than that.
Bitcoin sports betting at the same casinos
Stake, BC.Game, FortuneJack, Winz.io, Tenobet and Foxy Gold all run sportsbooks on the same balance as the casino, so you can move from a slot to a football bet without a new deposit. Odds are shown as decimals, and your stake and returns are in BTC (or the coin you selected). Casino and sports welcome offers are separate, and most sites let you claim only one. Our Bitcoin sports betting guide covers bet types and markets.
Bitcoin casino or regular casino: a cost comparison
Suppose you deposit the equivalent of $200, play for a week and withdraw $250 worth. At a card-funded casino, the card deposit is usually free, while a bank withdrawal may take several working days and some banks charge for international transfers. At a Bitcoin casino you pay a network fee in each direction, which is small at quiet times and higher at busy ones, plus the exchange’s spread if you bought or will sell the coins. The bigger variable is the Bitcoin price: a 5% move during that week changes your dollar result by about $12, more than any fee. If speed and privacy from your bank matter most, Bitcoin wins; if you want your result in dollars to reflect only your play, a stablecoin or a fiat casino does the job better.
How we checked the casinos on this page
For this October 2026 update we read each operator’s terms and footer directly, using residential connections from countries the casinos accept, because several block data-centre traffic. We recorded the operating company, licence number and restricted-country clause, and took bonus figures from the casinos’ own promotion and bonus-terms pages. Where a casino showed a figure we could not confirm in its terms, we left it out or said so. We did not run test deposits for this update, and we do not describe any. Our rating method explains how the scores are built.
Bitcoin vs other coins at a casino
| Coin | Typical speed | Typical fee level | Price risk | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | About 10 minutes per block on average | Varies most with demand | High | Accepted everywhere on this list |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Faster blocks than Bitcoin | Usually low | High | Good for small deposits |
| Tether (USDT) | Depends on network | Low on TRON and many layer 2s | Low (dollar-pegged) | Match the network exactly |
| Ethereum (ETH) | Blocks every 12 seconds | Varies with demand | High | Also carries ERC-20 tokens |
Many players deposit in Bitcoin because they already hold it, but keep in mind that your casino balance then moves with the BTC price. If you would rather your results reflect only your play, a stablecoin is the cleaner choice. Compare the options on our Litecoin, Tether and Ethereum casino pages.
A practical split many regular players use: keep long-term Bitcoin in cold storage, move a fixed session budget to a hot wallet, and deposit from there. Winnings go back to the hot wallet first and then, in larger amounts and less often, to cold storage. That keeps casino activity away from your main holdings, makes your gambling spend easy to track, and means a casino problem can never touch more than one session’s budget.
A short history of Bitcoin gambling
Bitcoin gambling began almost as soon as Bitcoin had value. SatoshiDice, launched in 2012, let players send coins to an address and receive winnings straight back, and for a while it produced a large share of all Bitcoin transactions. Dice sites such as PrimeDice (2013) followed, along with the first full casinos. BitStarz and FortuneJack both opened in 2014, the year this site’s reviews started.
Many of those early brands are gone. PrimeDice stopped betting on 8 October 2025, and our October 2026 audit found that many other operators reviewed here over the years had closed or rebranded. At the same time, regulation caught up: Curaçao replaced its old master-licence system with direct licences under a new law in force from 24 December 2024, and Anjouan and Tobique became common homes for crypto brands. The Bitcoin network itself has changed too. Since the April 2024 halving, each block pays a subsidy of 3.125 BTC, and the next halving is expected around 2028.
Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash: do not mix them up
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) split from Bitcoin in 2017 and is a separate coin with its own addresses and price. Many casinos accept both, listed side by side in the cashier. Sending BTC to a BCH deposit address, or the reverse, is one of the most common deposit mistakes, and recovery is at the casino’s discretion. Check the coin name at the top of the deposit screen, not only the logo. The same care applies to wrapped Bitcoin tokens on other networks: WBTC on Ethereum is not native Bitcoin and needs an ERC-20 deposit address.
Licences behind Bitcoin casinos
Three regulators stand behind the Bitcoin casinos on this page. Knowing which one stands behind your casino tells you where to turn if a withdrawal goes wrong.
Curaçao Gaming Authority
BitStarz, mBit, 7Bit and Stake hold direct licences from the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (Landsverordening op de kansspelen, LOK), in force since 24 December 2024. Older reviews still mention “Curaçao eGaming” sublicences, which no longer exist. The CGA does not settle individual disputes; complain to the casino first, then to one of the seven ADR bodies the CGA has certified (list dated 31 August 2026). In September 2026 the CGA confirmed unauthorised access to its licensing portal; it says existing licences remain valid.
Anjouan
BC.Game, FortuneJack and Tenobet are licensed on Anjouan, part of the Union of the Comoros. Check the licence through the seal on the casino’s footer, which opens the validator for that domain. The authority does not handle complaints itself: the operator has 30 days to respond (14 days for disputes over a game result), and unresolved cases go to an ADR body that the operator pays for.
Tobique Gaming Commission
Koru and Foxy Gold are licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission, a First Nation regulator in New Brunswick, Canada. Its validator shows the licensee and the status of each domain. More background is on our Curaçao licence page.
What to expect on withdrawal times
| Stage | Who controls it | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Request reviewed | The casino | From minutes to a day or more; BitStarz’s terms aim for one hour |
| Identity check (first withdrawal) | The casino and you | Depends on how quickly you upload clear documents |
| Transaction broadcast | The casino | Usually right after approval |
| First confirmation | The Bitcoin network | About ten minutes on average, longer if fees are low |
| Credited by your wallet or exchange | Your wallet or exchange | Wallets show it at once; exchanges wait for their own confirmation count |
When a payout runs late, ask support which stage it is at. A TXID means the coins have left the casino; no TXID means the request is still in the casino’s hands.
Promotions beyond the welcome bonus
The welcome package is a one-off. For regular Bitcoin players, the ongoing offers matter more, and they differ a lot between casinos.
- Cashback: Winz.io pays 20% daily cashback on crypto play; 7Bit offers weekly cashback of up to 20%; Koru has a 15% cashback offer up to €/$2,500 with 5x wagering.
- Reloads: Koru runs reload bonuses on several days of the week, such as a 25% daily reload up to €/$300 and free spins on Saturdays, all at 50x.
- Wager-free crypto bonus: Koru adds 5% in real money, with no wagering, to crypto deposits.
- Rakeback and VIP: Stake builds its offer around rakeback and VIP levels rather than a welcome match.
- Tournaments and prize drops: 7Bit and others run slot tournaments with free-spin and cash prize pools that change weekly.
Cashback with low or no wagering is usually worth more over a year than a large welcome bonus at 40x or 50x, because it returns part of what you actually lose instead of asking you to bet a multiple of the bonus first.
Bitcoin casinos on mobile
All the casinos on this page work in a phone browser, and their cashiers show a QR code for the deposit address, which makes paying from a mobile wallet quick: scan, check the amount and network, send. Real-money casino apps for these brands are not in Apple’s App Store or Google Play, since both stores require gambling apps to be licensed for the markets they serve. Adding the casino to your home screen gives you an app-like shortcut without installing anything. If a site offers an Android download, get it only from the casino’s own domain and check the address carefully first.
Is a Bitcoin casino anonymous?
Not really. Bitcoin is pseudonymous: every transaction is public on the blockchain, and anyone who links an address to you can follow the flow. Exchanges that sell you Bitcoin verify your identity, and casinos reserve the right to do the same before paying out. A Bitcoin casino gives you privacy from your bank, not from the casino or from blockchain analysis.
Some casinos let you register and play small amounts with only an email address, but none of the casinos on this page promises to skip identity checks in every case. Plan on verifying when you withdraw a larger sum.
Keeping your Bitcoin safe
- Use your own wallet. Software wallets such as Electrum are free; hardware wallets keep keys offline. See our crypto wallets guide.
- Turn on two-factor authentication at the casino and at your exchange.
- Beware of address poisoning. Scammers send tiny amounts from addresses that look like ones you have used, hoping you copy the wrong one from your history. Copy addresses from the casino cashier each time.
- Watch for clipboard malware that swaps a copied address for the attacker’s. Compare several characters at the start and end before sending.
- Bookmark the real domain. Phishing copies of popular casinos are common, especially for brands that use mirror domains.
What happens to your Bitcoin if a casino closes
A casino balance is a promise, not coins in your wallet. When an operator shuts down, players depend on it to process withdrawals before the lights go out. PrimeDice is a recent example: it told players in August 2025 to withdraw by 8 October 2025, and players who missed the date had no announced way to recover funds. Our PrimeDice closure page covers what former players can still try.
The protection is simple and costs nothing: withdraw winnings soon after you win, keep only your session budget on the site, and save deposit TXIDs and account emails. Casinos that close suddenly rarely give notice; casinos that close in an orderly way usually announce it in the lobby and by email, so keep your account email current.
Bitcoin scams that target casino players
- “Pay a fee to release your withdrawal.” Fake casinos and fake support agents ask for a deposit or “tax” before paying out. A genuine casino deducts fees from the payout; it never asks you to send more Bitcoin first.
- Cloned casino sites. Copies of popular brands collect deposits and never pay. Reach the casino through a bookmark or a trusted review link, and check the licence validator lists that exact domain.
- Fake support on social media. Real support works through the casino’s own live chat or email. Anyone who messages you first on Telegram or X offering help is not support.
- Recovery services. People who promise to recover lost casino funds for an upfront fee are almost always running a second scam.
Provably fair Bitcoin games
Bitcoin casinos introduced provably fair games, and they remain the best reason to play in-house originals. The casino shows a hash of its secret server seed before you play, you add your own client seed, and each bet increases a counter. When you change seeds, the casino reveals the old server seed and you can recompute every result. Our provably fair guide explains the check in full, and our Bitcoin dice page covers the classic game that started it all.
Legal and tax points
Bitcoin casinos licensed in Curaçao, Anjouan or Tobique are not authorised in countries with their own licensing systems, which is why they exclude places such as the US, the UK, France and the Netherlands. In the United States, eight states have legalised online casinos; seven markets are live (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island), and Maine legalised a tribal-only market that has not launched as of October 2026. Check your own country’s rules before you play.
Tax adds another layer. Spending or selling Bitcoin is a taxable disposal in many countries, and using it as a stake can count as one. For US taxpayers, the IRS treats digital assets as property and gambling winnings as taxable income. Keep a simple log of each deposit and withdrawal with the date, amount and BTC price, so you can work out gains later.
Bitcoin casino glossary
- Confirmation: a block that includes your transaction. Each further block adds one confirmation.
- Mempool: the waiting area for transactions not yet in a block. A crowded mempool means higher fees.
- TXID: the transaction ID, a 64-character code you can look up on any block explorer.
- sat/vB: satoshis per virtual byte, the unit for Bitcoin fee rates.
- RBF: replace-by-fee, a way to resend an unconfirmed transaction with a higher fee.
- Hot and cold wallets: a hot wallet is online and convenient; a cold wallet keeps keys offline.
- RTP: return to player, the share of stakes a game pays back over the long run.
- House edge: 100% minus RTP; the casino’s long-run margin.
- Wagering requirement: how many times you must bet the bonus (or bonus plus deposit) before withdrawing.
- Max cashout: a cap on what you can withdraw from bonus play, such as Koru’s five times the bonus.
- Rakeback: a share of the house edge on your bets returned to you, common in VIP schemes.
- Server seed, client seed, nonce: the three inputs that make a provably fair result checkable.
Signs gambling is becoming a problem
Chasing losses, borrowing or selling other crypto to keep playing, hiding how much you have deposited, and feeling restless when you cannot play are all common warning signs. Because Bitcoin deposits are quick and private, they can grow without anyone noticing, including you. If any of this sounds familiar, set a deposit limit or self-exclude today and talk to someone.
Play responsibly
Bitcoin deposits take a minute and no bank sees them, so the usual brakes are missing. Set a deposit limit in your casino account before you start, keep your gambling coins in a separate wallet from your savings, and walk away when it stops being fun. Frequently asked questions
What is a Bitcoin casino?
An online casino that accepts Bitcoin for deposits and withdrawals and usually lets you hold your balance in BTC. Most also accept other coins and some accept cards.
Which is the best Bitcoin casino in October 2026?
BitStarz is our top all-round pick: a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence (OGL/2024/165/0185), up to 5 BTC + 180 free spins over four deposits at 40x, and a stated target of paying withdrawals within one hour. For a BTC bonus with no wagering, look at Winz.io.
How long does a Bitcoin casino deposit take?
Bitcoin targets one block about every ten minutes on average, and casinos credit deposits after the number of confirmations stated in their cashier. With a normal fee that is usually between ten minutes and an hour.
What is mBTC in casino bonuses?
One mBTC (millibitcoin) is 0.001 BTC. A bonus of 130 mBTC is 0.13 BTC, and a minimum deposit of 0.24 mBTC is 0.00024 BTC.
My Bitcoin deposit is stuck. What can I do?
If your wallet marked the transaction as replaceable, use replace-by-fee (RBF) to resend it with a higher fee. Otherwise wait: low-fee transactions usually confirm once the network quietens. Do not send a second deposit to push the first.
Are Bitcoin casinos anonymous?
No. Bitcoin transactions are public and pseudonymous, and every casino on our list can ask for identity documents before paying out. Bitcoin gives you privacy from your bank, not from the casino.
Can I use the Lightning Network at a Bitcoin casino?
Only if the casino’s cashier shows a Lightning option. Support is patchy, and a Lightning payment cannot be sent to a normal on-chain Bitcoin address.
Do I pay tax on Bitcoin casino winnings?
It depends on where you live. In the US, the IRS treats digital assets as property and gambling winnings as taxable income. In many countries, spending Bitcoin can also count as a taxable disposal, so keep records of every deposit and withdrawal.
What is the difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash at a casino?
They are separate coins with separate deposit addresses. Bitcoin Cash split from Bitcoin in 2017. Sending BTC to a BCH address, or the reverse, is a common mistake, so check the coin name on the deposit screen before paying.
Which Bitcoin casino has the lowest minimum deposit?
Among our picks, 7Bit accepts welcome-bonus deposits from 0.24 mBTC (0.00024 BTC). Network fees take a larger share of very small deposits, so consider Litecoin or a stablecoin on a cheap network for small amounts.
