Los Angeles Dodgers 2026 World Series Odds: Manifold Market at 21%

Manifold prices the Dodgers at 21% to win the 2026 World Series after Milwaukee took a 2-0 NLCS lead. What is driving the move and what 21% means.

By Priya Raman Fact-checked by Elena Márquez Updated 7 min read

The prediction market asking whether the Los Angeles Dodgers win the 2026 World Series is trading at 21% for YES as of 13 October 2026. The price has fallen hard because Los Angeles dropped into a 2-0 hole against the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series. Milwaukee won Game 1 by 2-1 on 11 October and Game 2 by 7-4 on 12 October, which leaves the two-time defending champions needing to win four of the next five games to reach the World Series. Here is what the market asks, what the 21% figure means, why the price has moved, and what happens next.

What the market asks and how it resolves

The market is ‘Will Los Angeles Dodgers win the 2026 World Series?’ on Manifold, listed under the account ManiPart and marked as managed and resolved by Manifold. The resolution rule is simple: it resolves YES if Los Angeles wins the 2026 MLB World Series, and NO otherwise.

The market page lists a close date of 6 November 2026, a buffer after the World Series finishes. The Series itself is scheduled to begin on 23 October and can run as late as 31 October if it goes to a seventh game. As of 13 October the page showed about 5,600 trades, roughly Ṁ45,000 in volume and 33 holders.

Current odds: 21% YES as of 2026-10-13

As of 2026-10-13 the market prices YES at 21%, which puts the Dodgers’ implied chance of winning the World Series at about one in five. CoinRithm, an independent tracker of Manifold markets, showed the same reading on 13 October: YES at 21.2% and NO at 78.8%.

A binary market on Manifold always pairs a YES price with a NO price that together add to 100%. The 21% is an implied probability, the collective view of the market’s traders, and not a guarantee of what will happen.

What is driving the move: a 2-0 series hole

The clearest catalyst is on-field. Milwaukee beat Los Angeles 2-1 in Game 1 on 11 October and 7-4 in Game 2 on 12 October to take a 2-0 lead in a best-of-seven series that the first team to four wins takes. In Game 1 the Dodgers led 1-0 after an Andy Pages single scored Shohei Ohtani, then Brice Turang tied it with a fourth-inning home run and Luis Lara drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth. In Game 2 William Contreras hit a 436-foot home run and finished with three RBIs, while Christian Yelich drove in two more. Milwaukee’s bullpen threw the last four and two-thirds innings of Game 1 without conceding a run, a pattern that has frustrated the Dodgers’ lineup. Los Angeles managed three hits in Game 2 and fell to 2 for 26 with runners in scoring position across the postseason.

No single signing, suspension or announcement in the last day explains the shift. The observable driver is the series deficit, reinforced by bullpen health. Reliever Blake Treinen injured his right shoulder while warming up on 26 September and is out for the postseason, and starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto lasted only two and two-thirds innings in Game 2, his shortest postseason outing. A team down 2-0 in a best-of-seven series faces a steep path, and the market has repriced accordingly.

Who is involved

Los Angeles is the two-time defending World Series champion and is trying to become the first National League club to win three consecutive titles. Milwaukee posted a franchise-record 103 wins in 2026, holds home-field advantage through the series, and is chasing its first World Series trip since 1982.

The Dodgers count Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman among their lineup, and left-hander Blake Snell is the expected Game 3 starter against Milwaukee’s Robert Gasser. Trevor Megill closed out Game 1 for the Brewers. On the injury side, Treinen’s season ended at 4-1 with a 3.64 ERA over 29.2 innings after he went on the injured list on 27 September.

The American League series is the Cleveland Guardians against the Tampa Bay Rays, which opened on 12 October. The winner of each League Championship Series meets in the World Series, which starts on 23 October at the team with the better 2026 record.

What 21% means in betting odds

A 21% chance can be restated in the three odds formats used around the world, and the conversion is plain arithmetic.

Decimal (European) odds equal 1 divided by the probability. For 21% that is 1 divided by 0.21, or about 4.76. A winning stake returns 4.76 times the stake, including the original stake.

Fractional (UK and Irish) odds equal the chance of losing divided by the chance of winning: 0.79 divided by 0.21, or about 3.76 to 1, roughly 19/5.

American (moneyline) odds for a probability below 50% are positive and equal 100 times 0.79 divided by 0.21, or about +376. A bookmaker would quote a rounded number nearby, such as +375 or +380.

Those three are fair prices with no margin. A real-money sportsbook or casino adds a margin, sometimes called vig or overround, so its price on the same outcome is shorter: a lower decimal, a shorter fraction and a smaller American number. That margin is how a bookmaker keeps its long-run edge. Remember too that this 21% is a play-money market price, not a real-money bookmaker price, a point covered below.

Manifold, mana and the crypto angle

Manifold’s core markets trade in mana (Ṁ), a play currency rather than real money. Manifold’s own terms describe mana as ‘solely for entertainment, learning, and non-monetary contest purposes’ and state that it has ‘no cash or redeemable value’. Mana cannot be cashed out, sold or transferred. Mana can be bought with cryptocurrency such as USDC, but those purchases are final and the balance still carries no redemption value. Because mana cannot be withdrawn, the prices here are best read as a popularity-weighted forecast rather than a wager with cash on the line.

In a binary market like this one, a YES position pays out if the answer resolves YES, and the price, near Ṁ0.21 at a 21% probability, is where the implied chance comes from. That matters for a crypto-savvy reader: the 21% is a forecast produced by play-money traders, not a price with real money at stake. Trading play-money markets does not require identity verification. Manifold has run separate real-money prize features, but they are distinct from this market. Jurisdiction and availability

Manifold’s terms do not publish a fixed country whitelist. They say users access the site ‘on their own initiative’ and are ‘solely responsible for compliance with local laws’. The play-money markets described here are broadly available, while Manifold’s separate real-money prize drawings are ‘void where prohibited’ and carry their own geographic and age limits.

Real-money betting on sports outcomes is regulated differently by country and is restricted or banned in several places. This site is written for adults outside the United States and the United Kingdom, and nothing on this page encourages betting in any jurisdiction where it is restricted. If you are unsure whether real-money betting is legal where you live, check your local rules before taking part in any real-money market.

What to watch next

Game 3 is on Wednesday 14 October at Dodger Stadium, with Game 4 on Thursday 15 October and Game 5 on Friday 16 October, all in Los Angeles. Milwaukee would host Games 6 and 7 if the series gets that far. If Los Angeles loses Game 3, expect the market’s YES price to slide further toward single digits. A Dodgers win would narrow the gap, and two home wins would put the series back on level terms.

The World Series starts on 23 October, and the Rays-Guardians series will decide the other side of the bracket. The Manifold market keeps trading through the League Championship Series and resolves once the World Series winner is known.
