ACH Overview

Sounds Good To Me

Mmm, Let Me Think About It...

In the online casino space, you will encounter several reliable payment methods. These include credit/debit cards like Mastercard and Visa, as well as e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill. Despite the popularity of these payment gateways, some players prefer sending funds directly from their bank accounts. At the same time, they would want to receive their winnings straight to their account.

ACH, or automated clearing house, is one of these gamers’ bank transfer options, especially if they reside in the United States. Operated by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), the ACH network acts as a financial hub and helps people and organizations transfer funds from one bank to another. Users of this method can pay bills and taxes, receive their payroll, and more. Fortunately, players can also use ACH to deposit and withdraw their casino funds.

How to Transact in the ACH Network

To top up your casino account, you must first make a direct deposit using the ACH network. You have the choice to send funds using your debit or credit bank account. Your bank will then take the transaction and batch it with other ACH transactions to be processed during the day.

The ACH operator—the US Federal Reserve or a clearing house—will then receive all the transactions from your bank. It sorts these transactions and then sends them to the receiving bank or organization. The process ends when the casino receives your payment.

Pros and Cons of Using ACH

Most bank transfers take up to five days to process, thus delaying your gaming sessions and your enjoyment of your winnings. Fortunately, ACH implements a same-day settlement, with most transactions cleared no later than 5 p.m CT. This means that all your top-ups and cash-outs will be processed within the day, as long as you do not deposit and withdraw a few hours before the cut-off time.

Unfortunately, though, this payment method is available only to players in the US. If you are a casino gamer in a different country, you have to choose a different bank transfer method. But if you prefer faster transactions, choose other payment gateways like the abovementioned credit/debit cards and e-wallets.
